Description
OpenFlops is an Open Hardware implementation of Gotek hardware. It is designed to run the FlashFloppy firmware.
Boards have the latest FlashFloppy firmware installed. Future firmware updates can be installed from USB flash drive.
I’ve modified the design slightly by replacing through hole electrolytic capacitors and crystal with SMD parts. I also added SWDIO-header for firmware installation with ST-LINK/V2. Functionality of the OpenFlops isn’t affected by these changes. Gerber, BOM and component position file with my modifications is available here.

In ST floppy drive cable is reversed so OpenFlops is installed “upside down.”
JC jumper enables Shugart interface that’s used by some/most? IBM PC floppy drives.
